Laura needed a change, so she lopped her hair off! She's donating it to "Locks of Love." Doesn't she look cute?

October 7, 2009 - 5:22 am - Wow love your new hair cut, i've done this twice myself, im at the moment growing it back. xx
October 7, 2009 - 1:21 pm - You're beautiful, Laura!

My parents flew from Utah last week so we took them to Mabry Mill, a historical stop on the Blue Ridge Parkway.

I loved to see my father laughing with my son. I completed the generational loop by laughing from behind the camera.

Move over Frank Sinatra, there’s a new “Ol’ Blue Eyes” in town!

To top off his visit I buzzed my dad’s head. We did it while my mom was napping to prevent intervention. Let’s just say that she wasn’t happy when she awoke…
September 23, 2009 - 6:15 am - I bet Mom HATED Dad's haircut! I cut it a few years ago, not nearly that short, and she had a cow. I love the photos of Mom and Dad with Joseph.
September 23, 2009 - 4:20 pm - I love the way your photos are so simple, yet so dramatic. You're angles are always interesting, and the focus draws you into the picture. I think color is what I find most interesting in photos. I especially like the one with Grammy in that shop, or the frushcia colored flowers against chartreuse shades. Whether it be analogous or striking contrast, I love the way you pay attention to color. Even when it's black and white. (Your photos are National Geographic material!)
September 23, 2009 - 4:55 pm - Love the pictures!!! I'll have to get copies of the ones of Mom and Dad!! The mill ones are really cool too. When did Joseph grow up??? I guess I haven't seen pictures of him in a long time...he has a mouth full of teeth!! I can see both you and Laura in him!
October 6, 2009 - 6:15 pm - Such fun photos! Loved the one of mom and dad together. I would love to have a copy of that one ( mom in her red jacket and dad in the sweatshirt)Great job capturing a moment!

Our friend gave us a tour of his Martha’s Vineyard farm

September 23, 2009 - 8:03 pm - Very awe inspiring. Thanks for sharing:) Your parents look great!

On our anual Martha's Vineyard trip, my favorite passtime is looking at Edgartown's amazing houses.

We camped the first night on the island...doesn't Joseph look happy?

A very, very tiring trip...I need a vacation after that vacation!

Our friends invited us to join them in Main for the day...man, what an amazing day!

This is our friends' private cove...I can't remember, is coveting a sin?

Joseph loved playing in the tidal pool

Can you tell by now that I love sail boats?

Walden Pond

We hauled our canoe from Virginia all the way to Walden Pond (Concord, MA)

On our trips we always seem to carry more than we need!

September 23, 2009 - 5:00 pm - Concord may very well be my favorite place on earth...or at least one of them! Next time I'll have to tell you how to find Kimball Farms!

October 6, 2009 - 11:57 am - Your pictures are really amazing. My wife is a photographer as well and she really likes your style. It's very photo-journalistic. Are you pursuing photography as an occupation currently?
