Laura decided our little "Reindeer" needed to be clean for Santa!

We got 18 inches of snow here in Roanoke, Virginia. Our neighbors helped us build our snowman.

Joseph couldn’t understand why everything suddenly turned white overnight.

December 28, 2009 - 11:35 pm - How adorable! Dayle is in class with your neighbor ;)

Mitt Romney greets a suporter of Bob McDonnell (candidate for Virginia Governer).

Entrepreneur Jamil Srour relates his experience about coming from Palestine to live his dreams in America.

Eight-year-old Sidney Bohon came hoping to meet Mitt Romney & Bob McDonnell. She went away satisfied, with both of their autographs.

Mitt Romney warmly greets Roanoke resident Betty McBride, mother of Mitt’s longtime friend Dr. Dane McBride.

Best of luck Bob!
November 4, 2009 - 12:58 am - LOVED that first photo of Bob. I heard that Betty McBride was at Mitt's wedding, so they're probably long-time friends. Any photos of my cute kids from that day? ;)
November 4, 2009 - 11:19 am - Great Photos Josh, you are truly talented photographer. We are lucky and fortunate to have you there.I am very appreciative of the hard work you put on this. All the pictures are good :) thanks.

These were our Halloween costumes for our party. Our neighbors must think we’re a bit strange dressing up like Hillbillies & dragging out the studio lighting.

December 22, 2009 - 9:17 pm - These are great! I recognize Laura's apron as the ones Mom made that double as pioneer bonnets!

I really love cooking fancy shmancy food, so I decided to exercise my green thumb & create an indoor herb garden! I’ve got Thyme, Sage, Rosemary, Leeks, Savory, & Basil. I found a florescent hanging light fixture & hooked it to a timer (they need 12-16 hours of light a day). The plants need a lot less water than what I used to think.

A couple years ago I found this antique dough rising think & decided it would work great for my plants.

Since Halloween is one of our favorite holidays, every year we host a Halloween party. The more friends, food, & fun the better!

And that’s a wrap! Waa, Waa, Waa…

Joseph really wanted to know what Mama was doing in the kitchen, so Laura let him join in.

Laura needed a change, so she lopped her hair off! She's donating it to "Locks of Love." Doesn't she look cute?
October 7, 2009 - 5:22 am - Wow love your new hair cut, i've done this twice myself, im at the moment growing it back. xx
October 7, 2009 - 1:21 pm - You're beautiful, Laura!

My parents flew from Utah last week so we took them to Mabry Mill, a historical stop on the Blue Ridge Parkway.

I loved to see my father laughing with my son. I completed the generational loop by laughing from behind the camera.

Move over Frank Sinatra, there’s a new “Ol’ Blue Eyes” in town!

To top off his visit I buzzed my dad’s head. We did it while my mom was napping to prevent intervention. Let’s just say that she wasn’t happy when she awoke…
September 23, 2009 - 6:15 am - I bet Mom HATED Dad's haircut! I cut it a few years ago, not nearly that short, and she had a cow. I love the photos of Mom and Dad with Joseph.
September 23, 2009 - 4:20 pm - I love the way your photos are so simple, yet so dramatic. You're angles are always interesting, and the focus draws you into the picture. I think color is what I find most interesting in photos. I especially like the one with Grammy in that shop, or the frushcia colored flowers against chartreuse shades. Whether it be analogous or striking contrast, I love the way you pay attention to color. Even when it's black and white. (Your photos are National Geographic material!)
September 23, 2009 - 4:55 pm - Love the pictures!!! I'll have to get copies of the ones of Mom and Dad!! The mill ones are really cool too. When did Joseph grow up??? I guess I haven't seen pictures of him in a long time...he has a mouth full of teeth!! I can see both you and Laura in him!
October 6, 2009 - 6:15 pm - Such fun photos! Loved the one of mom and dad together. I would love to have a copy of that one ( mom in her red jacket and dad in the sweatshirt)Great job capturing a moment!
